Chinese carmaker BYD in the northern Hungarian city of Coma Roma set up electric bus factory officially put into operation on the 4th.
This is BYD in Europe to invest in the construction of the first electric car factory. By 2018, BYD's Koma Roma electric bus factory is expected to have a total investment of 20 million euros, the total number of employees will reach 300 people. Early products are mainly pure electric buses and pure electric tourist buses, follow-up will produce electric forklifts and other light commercial vehicles, the product will radiate the entire European continent market.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Affairs of Hungary, at the opening ceremony, said BYD was investing in Hungary to show that Hungary's attractiveness to innovation industry and international competitiveness in the automotive sector.
Chinese Ambassador to Hungary Duan Jielong said that China's investment in Hungary accounted for about two-thirds of China's investment in Central and Eastern Europe, investment areas covering chemical, financial, communications, automotive and so on. I hope BYD can give full play to the advantages of investment, to achieve mutual benefit and win-win situation, and further promote the two countries in the field of automobile manufacturing cooperation.
BYD official website data show that the company was founded in 1995, the existing staff of about 22 million people, has established 30 production bases in the world.
