Recent news show that the 2017 year-end bonus of GAC Trumpchi will be up to 12 months of salary. Besides, staff of the automaker will receive 10 percent higher salary this year than that of last year.
Another subsidiary under Guangzhou Automobile Group, GAC Honda, also revealed its year-end bonus plan. “After discussing with the staff representatives, the company decided to pay the workers another 9 months of salary and a special bonus of RMB 4,000.” Besides, workers in GAC Honda have already received a bonus of RMB 6,000.
The generous bonus comes from the outstanding vehicle sales performance. In 2017, the group sold a total of 2,001,036 vehicles in the whole year, jumping 21.27 percent compared with the year before. GAC Honda handed over 705,000 vehicles last year, exceeding its annual sales target and increasing 10.37 percent year on year. The annual sales of GAC Motor, the self-owned brand of GAC, jumped 36.7 percent to 508,586 units.
Beijing Hyundai also announced its bonus scheme. Even though its annual sales slumped by nearly 30 percent in 2017, Beijing Hyundai also announced that apart from the bonus for the Spring Festival, workers will also receive a bonus equivalent to 3.5 month of salary. The joint venture said that in spite of the failure to complete the sales target, the sales and production improved a lot in the second half of last year and that the bonus is to express gratitude for the staff’s work.
