Chrysler Group are going to recall 29,500 Fiat 500L autos from the 2014-15 model years to change knee airbags that may not deploy in the right conditionif the driver is not wearing a seatbelt.
In order reall this time covers 25,500 vehicles in the USA and 4,000 in Canada. About one-third of the affected vehicles are currently on dealer lots, Chrysler said Wednesday.
Chrysler spokesman Jim Cai said the knee airbags deploy in the story of an accident but “they do not meet the needds for unbelted cars.”
The new saft airbags will be replaced quickly. he said.
If a passenger is not properly, may not be idealmente changed benefit from any safely airbags knee position.
No injuries until now aboout this issue was reported, the company said in a statement. Drivers will be called within 90 days and can make a repair at any registered Chrysler dealership for free.
