Recently, Yang Xueliang, Vice President and Spokesman of Geely Group made it clear during media interview that LYNK&CO will set Tiguan as benchmark in sales prices. In fact, Geely has invested greatly in LYNK&CO. It's introduced that LYNK&CO 01 will target at Audi Q3, Lexus ES350 and Tiguan in controllability, comfortability and sales prices respectively. In the future, LYNK&CO will seize the market share from Tiguan.
The R&D fees in LYNK&CO reap more than 20 times compared with other models under Geely brand. “At the first time, a new model needed only RMB 5m to 6m in designing. But Geely R&D center would spend at least RMB 100m in the new model's image designing. We are developing our own designing abilities.”
The plan on LYNK&CO has received recognition from some SAIC-VW investors. Currently, more than 100 dealerships have joined in the brand operation, many of which have experience in operating joint-venture brands.
