Its global airbag recall scandal centers Japanese suppliers - today appointed the new general manager of operations in North America.
Bruce Angiolillo, law firm Simpson Thacher Bartlett in New York's long-term partner, will assume the role of TK holding company, on Thursday.
All legal and regulatory oversight subsidiary of North American suppliers Angiolillo matters suburban Detroit, the company said in a press release.
Angiolillo replace Tangxi Man, who retired on December 31, but still with Takada as a consultant.
The move comes as the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration after severely criticized the supplier, earlier this month refused to expand the driver's side airbag 8 million units to evacuate.
More than 240,000 air-balloon Takada recalled 12 recall from 2008 onwards car airbags exploded, causing shrapnel injuries to passengers and drivers.
Defective airbag has been linked to at least five people were killed.
Stefan Stoke, Takada, president, chief operating officer resigned Wednesday. Stocker stay with the company's Board of Directors; CEO Shigehisa Takada took presidential documents.
Angiolillo with NHTSA's efforts to address the problem of airbags, said.

"I am eager to help identify and find solutions in the best interests of the driving public, and are fully consistent with our customers and regulators."
At Simpson Thacher, Angiolillo litigation practice led to the company's values. He received a law degree from New York, Amherst College in Massachusetts, and a bachelor's degree from Columbia University School of Law.
