Ford recalls 850,000 vehicles,because of glitch affecting airbags, seat belts

Ford Motor Co. is recalling 850,050 2013 and 2014 by an electrical fault could cause airbags and seat belt pretensioners may not work properly in the event of an accident.

Affected vehicles include 2013-14 Ford C-MAX, Fusion, Escape and Lincoln MKZ. In a statement today, said Ford's restraint system in the vehicle control module can be short, causing the airbag warning light is on.

This is the 12th evacuated to escape in 2013, although a spokesman said last month that no leakage has been involved in all withdrawals.
