FAW Group forged on April 20 strategic partnerships with seven industry-leading suppliers of digital solutions, signaling its resolution in shifting towards a digital product and service provider.
Based on the idea of innovation, coordination, opening-up and sharing, FAW Group and its partners will carry out in-depth cooperation in technologies, data, talents and business creativity so as to speed up the building of automotive digital ecosystem, the state-owned automaker said.
The seven partners are Huawei, Tencent, Baidu, Alibaba Cloud, Autohome, IBM China and NTT DATA, and they will work with FAW Group on different fronts.
The collaboration with Huawei focuses on the sharing of practical experience in digital transition and the joint construction of a controllable digital platform. Based on Huawei's industrial network, they will co-promote innovative applications in IoV (Internet of Vehicle) field.
FAW Group will team up with Tencent to jointly build a value chain-based data ecosystem and a cybersecurity platform featuring the integration of cloud, vehicle and device.
The automaker is to conduct cooperation with Baidu in the security of in-vehicle network and information, the ICV-based digital mobility services and IoV services. Besides, both parties will cement their strategic collaboration in autonomous driving business.
Under the partnership with Alibaba Cloud, two companies will co-establish a public cloud platform, improve the efficiency and transparency of working mechanism and innovate in automobile retail business model.
The highlights of the teamwork with Autohome reside in data ecosystem, model application, data products and business model innovation.
Moreover, FAW Group and IBM (China) will develop in-depth cooperation in such areas as consultation about digital transformation, cloud ecosystem, supply chain management, OTD (on-time delivery), product quality control, data asset management as well as cloud migration of data.
By virtue of the partnership with NTT DATA, both companies will jointly incubate an ecosystem of IoV services and foster talents for digital businesses.
