Mercedes preps midsize cargo, passenger van for U.S.

Mercedes - Benz uses the giant Specialty Equipment Market Association Show in Las Vegas this week plans to preview about a year to mid-sized pickup trucks in North America.

Mercedes-Benz parent company Daimler has built van - Vitoria, Spain since 2003 - known as Vito in markets outside of North America.

In the United States and Canada have a long version of the van, which will be called Metris's.

As the largest Sprinter van, Metris is carried out in Europe and shipped to the Daimler Trucks Ladson, SC factory for final assembly.

Cargo and passenger versions offered.

Release of the goods from Victoria, drivetrain, fuel tank and remove the battery to prevent the 25 percent tariff is called "chicken tax." These components reinstall Ladson plant. They are the same version of the Sprinter transportation of goods carried. Passenger cars are not taxed chicken.

Mercedes-Benz will showcase four Metris concept version in the next few months, let us wait and see.
