Magneti Marelli opens first U.S. exhaust systems plant

Magneti Marelli Holding USA, Italy, the Fiat Chrysler parts suppliers all, has opened its first factory exhaust system in the United States, the company said.

Chrysler headquarters north of Detroit, United States, near the factory of more than 200,000 square feet, has a staff of 89 people, the company said in a statement Tuesday.

"With the exhaust, the lines of business of each company in North America on behalf of the company, to provide and expand the footprint here and service to our customers worldwide," Magneti Marelli Holding EUI.EUP . CEO Stefan Vedie a statement said.

The exhaust system of the plant is fourth Marelli Milan factories in North America, and the seventh in the United States.

"The main destination from a logical point, [the new plant] is certainly very close to the final product is one of the hot exhaust system," said Vedie. "We have been much easier to initiate and accelerate all of our employees, and to support our core functions of [information technology, human resources, procurement, and legal."

Exhaust manufacturing business has been in Europe, South America, China and India, and the United States is an important complement to the factory, said Magneti Marelli CEO Eugenio Razelli in a statement.

The plant will produce extreme hot exhaust manifold integrated catalytic converter, the statement said. This will produce about 300,000 units per year.

Marelli back to its founding in 1918 in Italy. In addition to the components of the propulsion system, the company produces automotive lighting, electronic systems, components, suspension systems and plastic parts. 29 among 99 best companies worldwide suppliers in fiscal 2012 global sales of $ 9.8 billion in the Automotive News list of automakers.
